Engineering and manufacturing company that desires to build and maintain an online retail store as well as update their various existing websites, printed catalogs and advertisements. Their products are used for industrial, commercial and residential liquid filtration applications.
This is a full time job and occasional travel may be required. Although their manufacturing location is currently in California, strong candidates will be considered for tele-commute (especially if based in Austin, TX).
To make certain there is a mutual fit with the highest likelihood of long term achievement, the first 120 days of web development will be as a consultant. During this consulting period, they expect their online shopping portal to be designed and launched.
Additional responsibilities will include: re-design and maintain current corporate websites to keep fresh and relevant, maintain updated print documents and catalogs regarding various product lines and features and create/place advertisements for our various products in relevant print and web media. Strong graphic design, web savvy (design, functionality and Search Engine Optimization “SEO”) and grammar/spelling skills are expected. Websites are built primarily in PHP, HTML and MYSQL.
Seeking a technically savvy, professional dedicated to detail and timeliness
- WITH RELEVANT AND RECENT ONLINE SALES EXPERIENCE, PREFERRABLY SELLING ENGINEERED PRODUCTS. SKILLS SUCH AS GRAPHIC ARTS DESIGN, SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO) AND STRONG WEB SALES EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Products are highly engineered and the sales cycle is reliant on understanding customer specifications and needs. This position is immediate and will provide significant exposure to all aspects of the company and the opportunity to assist and implement key decisions and capital allocation. The position will report to the company President and have daily interaction with other Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing functions. The candidate would also be expected to be proficient in Microsoft office products
(especially Excel) and use programs such as Salesforce.com, Peachtree and other common business software.
Requirements:
1. Online sales experience (Web Design, Build, Maintain) with engineered products (current or very recent).
2. Search Engine Optimization experience.
