Inside Sales/Customer Service Supervisor
The Inside Sales/Customer Service Supervisor position is responsible for managing and providing strategic direction to the inside sales/customer service team, and for driving the organization’s sales revenue through a large volume of transactions. The candidate selected will be required to use his/her knowledge and skills to manage outbound call campaigns from the ground up with an emphasis on the development of current accounts and the acquisition of new business. Our sales engagement is based in a consultative selling approach revolving around our value-added products and education. The successful candidate will recommend and implement policies and programs in the area of Inside Sales, Account Management, and Customer Service. The Inside Sales/Customer Service Supervisor will also take direction from the Director of Sales with regards to identify markets for products and services. This position is expected to aggressively develop new customer relationships, expand domestic opportunities, manage and develop team members, and provide strategic planning and direction for the department. This position will report to the Director of Sales.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Oversee the hiring, training, and development of an inside staff in conjunction with the Director of Sales
. Directs and motivates representatives who generate leads, manage accounts and close sales over the telephone.
. Generates revenue through inbound or outbound calls while managing small to mid-size accounts.
. Improves metrics on sales and closing ratios and optimize sales cycle management.
. Develop and implement a data driven call campaign with a strategic plan to address the skincare market. Utilization of analytics.
. (CRM and Contact Management Systems) and metrics to assess progress and success are essential.
. Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
. Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs for the inside team.
. Complete monthly employee meeting (one on ones)
. Work closely with Sales to develop, establish, lead programs, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
. Establish and implement short and long range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
. Keep Senior Management appraised through verbal and documented reports on sales volume, competitive activity, growth and expansion progress.
. Interview, hire, train, and mentor employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
. Works with cross functional teams such as Marketing, Education, Sales, and Operations to achieve common goals.
. Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred with at least 5 years related experience.
. At least 3 years of experience developing and managing a team of associates in a business model from the ground up with quick implementation of this strategy.
. Experience selling consumer based products in a highly competitive market, preferred.
. Skin care industry experience a plus (with an aesthetics license).
. Significant sales and sales management experience in business-to-business sales.
. The ability to be a strong and effective personal motivator of inside sales professionals.
. Excellent personal selling skills and the ability to train others to become the same.
. Familiarity and commitment to telephone sales campaigns, account management with experience in analytics/metrics in order to measure performance.
. The ability to make quick decisions in order to implement processes as well as evaluating all telesales personnel and matching them to the right territory.
. Experience with ERP & CRM and/or other sales analysis tools preferred.
. Experience with data driven market intelligence is a plus
. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
. Requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
. Attention to detail; effective time management skills; ability to handle irate clients; possession of diplomatic skills in managing relationships with fellow team members; ability to work in a team environment
. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as necessary.
