The Director of Field Sales’ primary responsibility is to contribute to the development of brands sales through technical education and field support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Work with sales staff to create their sales and education strategy to meet or exceed budget.
. Recruit, hire, and develop direct sales force in specified markets to maximize Profitability, Accountability, Cash Flow and Engagement.
. Regularly assist sales staff and evaluate their needs and the needs of their territory.
. Train sales staff on all exclusive brands including how to open the conversation and close the sale.
. Monitor sales staff’s manufacturer sales goals actual to budget on a monthly basis.
. Work closely with exclusive manufacturer personnel to maximize salon sales.
. Involved in coordinating promotions and other materials for the field.
. Ability to achieve and close sales through technical presentation.
. Available for technical in-salon and field assistance 3 to 4 days per week.
. Involved in developing territories.
. Responsible for assisting in sales to salons and schools.
. Support the education programs through the field staff to ensure attendance and profitability.
. Responsible for sales meetings and shows.
. Develop annual budget and sales goals.
. Partner with HR in reference to employee issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
. Bachelor degree (B.A.)
. Minimum 5 years cosmetology experience.
. Proficient in hair color technology.
. Management experience in sales preferably leading an outside sales organization.
