Category Manager for Cut & Sew Cases
Work within the Product Development team with designers and project managers to create desirable products that will delight users and enhance the company brand worldwide.
Job responsibilities & qualifications:
. 3+ years’ experience in a related cut & sew product role
. 5+ years’ experience participating in a category or team in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment, preferably in consumer electronic accessories
. Strong understanding of retail merchandising, buying, product planning and/or sales and the product creation process
. Ability to create and execute product roadmaps and timelines
. Experience in connecting observations of trends, color, materials, fashion, etc. and translating those into compelling product recommendations, then editing the product line for profitability
. Experienced in identifying the right product to meet the brief
. Proficient in leveraging all tools available to drive/inform product decisions (i.e. sales data, trend reports, product integrity data, consumer insights, etc.)
. Strong verbal and written communication skills
. Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
. Strong information-seeking skills and a drive to make things happen
. Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
. Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism
. Ability to lead initiatives and project teams
. Occasional travel to visit key retailers and trade shows
. Experience with Apple products and Android devices

Category Managers are responsible for communication with all areas of the company outside of Product Development. Duties include coordination with Sales regarding delivery dates for products in their area according to retail customer needs. They work with the Marketing and Merchandising department to develop packaging and manuals, sales support materials such as Features and Benefits (FAB) sheets, and generally must be able to tell the story behind the product.
