Position Title:  Nurse Manager CT ICU/CICU
Unit: Cardiothoracic ICU and Cardiac ICU
Division:  Heart & Vascular
Responsible for 90 fte’s
Permanent full-time
FTE hours: 80

Minimum Training and Education:  Bachelor’s degree in nursing with an educational plan to obtain a Master’s relevant to the healthcare
environment.  Master’s preferred.  A total of at least three years of true management experience required.  RN work experience in both CT ICU and CICU required.  Management experience in a large university/teaching hospital or Level One Facility is strongly preferred. Requires licensure as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing and current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Professional Rescuers Card.

Job Summary:  The Nurse Manager of our CT ICU/CICU reports to the Director of the Heart & Vascular Service Line.  The Nurse Manager ensures the provision of his/her departments in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change.  The Nurse Manager is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of department/unit on a 24-hour basis.

Requirements:
1.  Bachelor’s degree in nursing with an educational plan to obtain a Master’s (Master’s preferred).
2.  3+ years of true management experience (management in a teaching hospital preferred).
3.  RN work experience in both CT ICU and CICU.
4.  RN and current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Professional Rescuers Card.
