Field Service and Support Manager, CT-MRI
Company develops, upgrades, sells and services advanced CT and MRI scanners to medical and industrial clients. Products are used extensively in the medical, pharmaceutical, life science, petrochemical and veterinary industries.
Directs the coordination of both the technical installation and authors the site planning and support activities for the MRI and CT scanner product lines. Client services include site planning, installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and engineering change upgrades. Schedules personnel responding to both product preparation requirements and field service. The candidate reports directly to the president of the company. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of all the functions including scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – other duties may be assigned.
* Work to maintain service procedures appropriate to each original equipment company’s programs for repair and service of products.
* Hands on shop and field service support for staff.
* Reviews customer requests for service to establish effective response.
* Improve service operational performance.
* Determines staff hours, number of personnel, and parts and equipment required for both in house and outside repair, production.
* Prepares schedules for service personnel, assigns personnel to routes or to specific repair and maintenance work.
* Prepares and coordinates site planning.
* Direct contact with clients and contractors for new installations.
* Requisitions replacement parts and supplies, monitors inventory.
* Contacts service personnel via telephone or e-mail to obtain or give information and directions regarding service or installation activities.
* Institute overall QA and performance program.
The requirements:
* 5-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience in computed tomography/permanent magnetic resonance imagers.
* Ability to travel is required; both domestically and on rare occasions internationally (not to exceed 30%).
* Clear decision-making skills, strong leadership, emphasizing team accountability, openness, motivation and conflict resolution

* Strong team working skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
* Directly supervises 5 employees in field. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and re-training employees, site planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintaining original equipment manufacturer QA relationships. A hands-on manager, capable of working in the field with his team.
Requirements:
1. 5 + years related experience in computed tomography/permanent magnetic resonance imagers.
2. Ability to travel both domestically and on rare occasions internationally (not to exceed 30%).
3. Recent management or supervisory experience in imaging equipment service.
