Position Details:
The Director will manage the medical technology functions for two hospitals and numerous outlying facilities. Supervises technical staff in providing calibration, repair, technical support, equipment and network systems throughout the health system. Secures compliance documentation and recordkeeping for pm, repair, alerts, departmental work activities and work orders. Proactively meets
technical equipment needs for exceptional and well-maintained facilities. The Director is responsible for the effective negotiation, evaluation, set-up and results orientation for biomedical equipment contracts. Manages the EOC Medical Equipment Management Plan and is responsible for compliance with JC and other standards. Works with vendors and hospital departments in the review of bids, and equipment appropriateness. Monitors and responds to recalls, alerts and safety concerns related to medical equipment and systems.
. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/biomedical required
. Master’s in Engineering/biomedical preferred
. 7-10 years experience in management of engineering/biomedical department

Requirements:
1. BS degree Engineering or Biomedical Engineering (Master degree in Engineering or Biomedical preferred).
2. 7+ years experience managing a biomedical engineering department, with broad knowledge of biomedical equipment and systems.
3. Experience with JC standards, technology assessment, support, and clinical application of biomedical systems.
