POSITION SUMMARY
Conducts internal reviews, audits, and monitoring to ensure adherence with applicable Federal and State regulations, billing and coding rules, organization policies and procedures, and/or organization Corporate Compliance Plan.  Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Compliance Analyst may perform any, or all, of three basic job functions: General Analyst, Internal Audit,  and Chargemaster Coding Specialist. Position will be hired with one or more of the specific job functions in mind,  however, duties may be reassigned according to personnel expertise and the needs of the organization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or applicable registration or certification.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Several years experience in a health care environment performing coding, billing,  auditing, or review functions.

SKILLS:
Good communication, assessment, and organizational skills.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with billing and chargemaster systems preferred. Typing  required.

REGISTRATION:
RHIT, RHIA, or RN (Not required if meets other educational requirements).*

CERTIFICATION:
Prefer CCS, CCS-P, CPC,  or other applicable coding certification (Not required if meets other educational requirements); Professional registration or coding certification (e.g., RHIT, RHIA,  CCS) required if primary job function is Chargemaster Coding Specialist.

Requirements:
1.  Bachelor’s Degree.
2.  7+ years of experience in a health care environment performing coding, billing,  auditing, or review functions.
3.  Experience with billing and chargemaster systems.
4.  RHIT, RHIA, or RN.
5.  Local or Regional (close enough to drive in for interviews and for a short easy move).
6.  Prefer CCS, CCS-P, CPC,  or other applicable coding.
