General Summary:
Provides psychiatric care to the children served by the Agency. Acts as a medical consultant and advises one or more Programs of the Agency on medical matters such as medical policies and protocol.

Behavioral Health and Psychiatry Services:
Participates in risk management, utilization, peer review, and quality assurance programs.
Acts independently; consistently exercises discretion and judgment in performing work, which is predominantly intellectual and varied in nature.
Maintains the appropriate training and or experiences to address the needs of the persons served.
Assists / Advises in the development of medical policy, protocol and clinical program development for one or more of the programs.
Participates in and / or chair various committees.
Provides client evaluation and consultation services as requested.
Requirements:
1. Medical Degree in Psychiatry from an accredited medical school.
2. 2+ years experience in Child Psychiatry.
3. License to practice in Vermont (clean record) or ability to transfer.
4. Board certified or eligible to be board certified.
