Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, the Assistant Manager of Clinical Services responsibility is accountable for the standards of practice for clinical dietitians. They are responsible for establishing standards and policies as outlined by the American Dietetic Association and assuring adherence to those standards. This role is responsible for assuring adequate dietitian coverage for the inpatient and outpatient areas. They have accountability for the development and implementation of therapeutic programs. In collaboration with the Director, the Assistant Manager of Clinical Services assures that patient’s nutritional needs are met. Provides staff relief as necessary. Assists Director with department budget process.
Qualifications:
Completed ADA approved nutrition or dietetics program. Masters in Food and Nutrition or related field required. Evidence of twenty (20) CEU’s annually. Minimum of five (5) years experience in both acute care and outpatient settings. Demonstrated competencies in program development and implementation. Proven verbal and written communication that can lead a team successfully.
