BASIC FUNCTION:
The Sourcing Advisor is responsible for providing strategic and commercial solutions and assistance to each “Category Manager” and/or Purchasing site supervisor in the successful implementation of various sourcing strategies. Specific categories may be assigned, which will require prioritized sourcing / commercial strategies, negotiation, finalization and administration of supplier agreements with favorable terms and conditions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
.       Facilitate, coordinate or lead sourcing strategies, commercial solutions and activities for the assigned category, which include,
prioritization of sourcing initiatives, contracting strategies, negotiation strategy and execution, contract development, implementation planning, portfolio management, etc.
.       Assist in ensuring communication and alignment of prioritized sourcing initiatives with internal stakeholders, understanding of market trends, supplier economics, assisting in legal challenges and contract finalization, while obtaining the lowest total cost solution through established key performance indicators.
.       Lead or coach others as required in specific sourcing initiatives, commercial solutions e.g., develop sourcing plan, establish call for tenders and/or initiate direct negotiations with suppliers in support of the sourcing plan.
.       Identify and coordinate, where applicable, potential synergies across all locations, U.S. and European affiliated companies.
.       Coordinate and ensure assigned contracts are properly managed and key milestones are met.
.       Will interface with plant site supervisors to implement sourcing initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
.       Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance and/or Engineering.
.       Five (5) plus years of experience of goods and services in support of the petrochemical industry.
.       Intermediate to advanced level of commercial knowledge e.g., market understanding, supplier capabilities, negotiation expertise, contract development, procurement law, etc.
.       Intermediate to advanced behavioral skill level in facilitation, communications, consensus building, conflict resolution, and negotiation strategy execution.
.       A proven track record to succeed and produce results.
.       25% travel, international and domestic travel required.

Requirements:
1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance and/or Engineering.
2.  5 + years of experience in sourcing of goods and services in support of the petrochemical industry.
3.  Intermediate to advanced level of commercial knowledge e.g., market understanding, supplier capabilities, negotiation expertise, contract development, procurement law, etc.
