Company is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer. This challenging hands-on position requires a disciplined, self-starting individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Emphasis is on engineering, design, modification, start up and technical support of heat treating equipment, and related material handling equipment for a multi-plant operation.
Position Functions:
. Design new heat treat, plating and material handling equipment. Oversee the fabrication, installation and start-up of equipment.
. Plan and execute projects to include specifications, purchase, and installation of new equipment.
. Design and implement modifications and improvement to existing equipment.
. Coordinate work of both in-house personnel and outside contractors.
. Coordinate cost effective use of all utilities.
Position Requirements:
. Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant work experience. BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Technical experience from entry level to five years in the field.
. Familiar with ACAD, machine design, power transmission and heat transfer.
. Knowledge of industrial furnaces, heat processing or fabrication a plus.
MUST HAVE: Design new heat treat, plating, material handling equipment. Oversee the fabrication and installation of equipment. (No expectation of the candidate needing to do their own welding or anything. Definitely design/modify/oversee installation/fabrication though.)
BS Mechanical Engineer preferred, with minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial furnace design a must.
Requirements:
1. BS Mechanical Engineer or similar degree.
2. 5 + years of experience in industrial furnace design.
3. Experience in design of new heat treat, plating, material handling equipment. Oversee the fabrication and installation of equipment.
4. Familiar with ACAD, machine design, power transmission and heat transfer.
